Abstract
We have seen a huge number of IoT devices deployed in various industry scenarios, such as warehouse, smart retail, etc. However, we can only run a small set of applications on these IoT devices because they suffer from a small battery, poor wireless connection, limited computation, etc. In this talk, we will discuss how we build wired and wireless infrastructure in Alibaba to support IoT devices interacting with the physical world. We will introduce the way we define and solve research problems in Alibaba. I will use one of the papers accepted to Sigcomm 2019 as an example.
