About

I am an Associate Professor (tenure-track) at the John Hopcroft Center for Computer Science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. I received my Ph.D. from the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State in 2020, where I was advised by Prof. Zhenhui (Jessie) Li. Before that, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015.My work has been recognized by the ECML-PKDD 2020 Best Applied Data Science Paper Award. Besides, I was also awarded Baidu AI Chinese Rising Stars Top 100 and the ACM SIGSPATIAL China Rising Star in Spatial Intelligence.

My research deeply roots in the complex systems of urban environments and transportation. I am particularly interested in building AI methods that can understand, represent, and interact with urban spatio-temporal environments.

Spatial Reasoning on Multimodels in Urban

Developing multimodal large models that integrate maps, trajectories, imagery, and text to reason about urban dynamics and transportation systems.

Urban Foundation Representation Models

Learning scalable and transferable representations for urban regions to support prediction, simulation, and generalization across cities.

Reliable and Trustworthy Embodied Urban AI

Building reliable, safe, and transparent embodied AI agents capable of interacting with and navigating complex, real-world urban systems.

Openings

I am actively looking for highly motivated undergrads, interns, and prospective Master's (2027) and Ph.D. (2027) students to work with me. See details.
